To view your data using Google Earth you will need to download and install Google Earth.
If you have not already done so please click the image to the left.

A detailed tour of the software can also be found by clicking here.

After selecting the link from the right hand menu , you will be able to download the KML file for opening in Google Earth by clicking the icon (as to the left).

Once you have loaded the file into Google Earth every laboratory from where an isolate has been submitted will have an icon at the location.

When clicking on the icon for a particular laboratory, a pop up box appears containg the number of isolates found in that country and a link inviting you to 'Click to view isolate spa types'

Clicking on the link will open a web browser containing the

If you have enabled Google Earth to open a browser internally the data will be displayed within Google Earth.

The spa Type Summary page presents a table as shown above, in a similar fashion to the Google Maps View .
The first column indicates the number of isolates of the Spa type, the repeat pattern of which is shown in the second column.
Clicking on the spa type allows you to link to the Ridom server and see which MLST Sequence Types have been found within this spa Type

The final column in the table indicates whether that spa type has been found in any other laboratories (the first number) followed in brackets by the number of isolates of that spa type in the other laboratories.

Unlike the google Maps view we currently are not displaying spa Types by laboratory in Google Earth (although this is in development.)
